Description
Here is a fantastic vintage 1970s Native American Navajo Sterling Silver with Turquoise Stone Brooch Pin/Pendant. It measures 1 1/2 inches long X 1 inch wide. The pin is in the shape of a coyote or howling dog with some nice stampwork throughout. It has a single mid sized Turquoise Stone in the center. It has a pin closure that works excellent. It also has a hoop to add to a necklace as a pendant if desired. It is a very unique hand made Navajo item. It is in really great condition for the age and is ready to wear. The piece is marked, “HIJE - STERLING”. HIJE stands for HANDMADE INDIAN JEWELRY, a mark that was used in the 1970’s to differentiate jewelry made by individual artists from that being produced in a more commercial enterprise. It is also marked, “V”, which is the maker’s mark. Will make a perfect add on to any collection. Please email any questions.
