Cincinnati Federal grain painted tall

case clock, printed and gilt arched wooden dial signed "L. Watson, Cincinnati" (Luman Watson, died 1834), boldly grain painted black and red waisted case, period weights and pendulum, probably Ohio, early 19th century, 85 x 18-1/4 x 10-1/4 in. Dial resurfaced with photographic print highlighted with gilt spandrels and urn, later hands, works and case married, grain painted case in generally good repair with some cracks and separations, some paint wear and loss to case sides, replaced door pull, hood with no glass or backboard (as made). Provenance: Private Collection, Kentucky
