architectural eagle with finely articulated feathers, open mouth with beak and eyes, open feet with gilt talons, pine throughout, American or British, early 19th century, approximately 52 x 45 x 13 in. Probably formerly painted, some regilding, losses and restorations to two toes and several talons, some losses to feather ends, minor separations and edge chips, scattered patches, very minor pest damage.
