spread wings, holding arrows, probably used as flagpole finial or for parades, probably American, 19th century, 15-3/4 x 16-1/2 in. Extensive losses and repairs, back with wire reinforcement (one off but present), large solder repairs and repainting, lacking talons, proper right foot, arrows and wing tip. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Parker B. Poe to Benefit the Thomasville Cultural Center, Thomasville, Georgia
