American Chippendale brass dial

tall clock, cherry with pine secondary, arched engraved brass dial signed "Isaiah Eaton, Charlestown", case with arched hood with reeded columnettes, waisted case with arched door, original ogee bracket feet, Connecticut River Valley or possibly New Hampshire, late 18th century, 85-1/4 x 21 x 11-1/2 in. Moon dial repainted, case and saddle board probably a good match (numerous screw holes,) case refinished, scattered cracks and repairs in hood door and molding, probably original finials and plinths, other breaks and repairs to moldings, original feet with breaks and some facing patches, later molding on case door, crack in top arch of brass dial, other bending. Provenance: The Estate of the Late John Boone, Owensboro, Kentucky Isaiah C. Eaton of Walpole, New Hampshire, is referenced in Palmer, [A Treasury of American Clocks,] page 339.
