three-masted sailing vessel flying American flag, yacht near lighthouse with flagpole flying British flag, ship marked "Benmore", painted wood, fabric, thread, other elements, shadowbox frame, probably American, early 20th century, 16 x 36-1/2 x 5 in. Backboard with old separation, frame with new screws and back molding, paint spots, other minor chips. Provenance: Private Collection, Kentucky The "Benmore" was an iron clad sailing vessel made in Glasgow, Scotland in 1870 and purchased by an American in 1920.
