(Elisha Boudinot Keith, French/New York, 1893-1918): two landscapes with houses: one with painting of barn verso signed "E.B. Keith '16"; one with figure in a garden, oil on canvas laid on card, each approximately 8-1/4 x 10-1/4 in.; original black-painted frames. All with light grime and some warping; frames with abrasions. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Parker B. Poe to Benefit the Thomasville Cultural Center, Thomasville, Georgia Elisha Keith enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a lieutenant in World War I until he was killed in 1918. A memorial award for painting was established in his name. His paintings have rarely come to market.
