tiger maple, poplar and cherry with yellow pine and poplar secondary, original splash panel, extensive period pencil inscriptions on interior of backboards (illegible), attributed to the Burgner cabinet making family of Horse Creek, Greene County, Tennessee, 1820-1840, 46 x 65-3/4 x 23-1/2 in. Good condition overall, refinished, brass probably replaced (no plugged holes), minor pest damage, normal wear, surface abrasions Provenance: By family tradition, the sideboard was purchased "from a member of the Burgner family out at Horse Creek"; The Estate of the Late Thomas W.
