walnut with poplar secondary, single case construction, two eight-pane glazed doors opening to three fixed interior shelves, two dovetailed drawers over two doors, mahogany inlaid escutcheons, probably original door glazing and mullions, attributed to Eastern Tennessee, early 19th century, 94-1/2 50-1/2 x 28 in. Feet, base molding and brasses replaced, refinished with sun fading especially to proper left side, original cornice molding with scattered patches and repairs, center backboard somewhat loose, lacking some door pulls, scattered rodent damage, other surface wear and minor repairs.
