the Virgin in a landscape, signed lower right "A Sernini(?)", watercolor and gilding on card, 19th century, 6-7/8 x 4-7/8 in.; fine 19th century Italian carved walnut frame with shutters decorated with high relief acanthus, masks, palmettes. Light toning at edges, slight wear to signature, very light abrasion at edges; frame with minor losses to carving. Provenance: Private Collection, Charlotte, North Carolina
