set with gilt brass repoussé plaque depicting Mary, Queen of Heaven, surrounded with pierced and glass-jeweled liner, frame signed verso "G. Ortega-1621", probably early 20th century, 25-1/2 x 22 in.; diamond shaped carved, painted and gilt wood frame set with mirrors, [putti] and fitted with repoussé gilt brass and tin shutters with glass bosses. Liner lacking some glass jewels, plaque loose, wear to velvet interior, abrasions, losses to carving. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Francis Reese, Ball Ground, Georgia
