wooden trophy panels, finely carved walnut with ibex, rabbits, game birds, powder horns, canteens, firearms, rope and climbing ax and other devices, German or Swiss, late 19th century, each 39 x 23 in. Scattered minor repairs and restorations, chips, normal losses, back panels with old separations. Provenance: Acquired in London, 19th century; by descent in a New England family Thought to commemorate an Alpine ibex hunt.
