(French, 1864-1901), [Le Coiffeur-Programme du Theātre Libre], 1893, cover of program for two plays, second state, first edition, signed in plate lower right with encircled monogram, lithograph on wove paper printed in olive, red and yellow, 12-5/8 x 9-5/8 in.; modern gilt silver frame. Laid down on acidic card with tack paper, stains at edges, corners with creases and some abrasion, 1/16 in. loss lower left corner, toning; frame with abrasions. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Parker B. Poe to Benefit the Thomasville Cultural Center, Thomasville, Georgia This program cover was printed by Eugene Verneau for Theātre Libre for the plays [Une Faillite] and [Le Počte et le Financier]; only 16 are known to exist.
