bowl with red glaze, 2-1/8 x 6-1/4 in.; egg shaped vase with runny amber and black glaze, 5-1/2 in.; rounded vase with speckled amber and black glaze, 4-7/8 in., all with hand incised marks, all stamped "Chapallaz" (Edouard Chapallaz, Swiss, born 1921) and "Duillier" (town in Switzerland), (three pieces). All with minor glaze voids as fired, otherwise excellent condition. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Parker B. Poe to Benefit the Thomasville Cultural Center, Thomasville, Georgia Chapallaz is considered a pioneer of Swiss studio ceramics. His work has been widely exhibited and is represented in many museum collections.
