(David Davidovich Burliuk, Russian/American, 1882-1967), spring view at "Seven Barns", East Quoug, Long Island, New York, signed lower right "Burliuk", oil on Masonite, 4-1/2 x 4-7/8 in.; black-painted and gilt wood frame. Light grime; frame with abrasions. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Frank Banker, New York, New York; by Descent to Consignor It was a custom for Burliuk and Frank Banker to gather for social drinks on the lawn of "Seven Barns", Banker's home in Quoug. This is a view of one of those barns.
