Album exhibits hundreds of 19th century pharmaceutical labels pasted onto blank sheets and organized by order numbers. Labels are for various 19th century pharmaceutical products including poisons, tonics, and liquors. The samples also include specimens of previously printed labels that show names and addresses of hundreds of pharmacies and druggists from across the western half of the United States, as well as Hawaii and British Columbia. Most labels are printed in monochrome, a few use multiple colors. Salesman's pencil numbering in margins updating prices, etc. Fascinating collection offering slice of the medical and pharmacological profession in the American west near the end of the 19th century.
