First Edition.Very rare pamphlet giving a first-hand account of one of the seminal battles of the Mexican War, the last major battle in northern Mexico, and one that would vault Zachary Taylor to the presidency. There are only five copies in institutional libraries located by OCLC: Huntington Library, Yale University Library, Harvard University, New York Public Library, and the Wisconsin Historical Society. No copies are listed in American Book Prices Current as having sold at auction for the last 33 years. Not in Howes, Sabin, Graff, or the Streeter Catalogue.
