In original cloth-backed folder with paper cover label, descriptive label to inside front cover and publisher's imprint label to inside back cover.Beautiful series of photographs, published not long after the National Park was instituted in 1872. This portfolio dates from before 1899, when Haynes moved his studio out of Fargo. Views titled: 'Crater of the Oblong', 'Pulpit Terrace, Mammoth Hot Springs', 'Great Falls of the Yellowstone, 360 Feet', 'Grand Canyon from Point Lookout', 'Splendid Geyser' and, 'Old Faithful Geyser'.
