Title: Autograph Letter from Jack London Concerning His Upcoming Lecture
Author: London, Jack Description: 2 pages, 18 lines on rectos only. 6x9.A somewhat weary-sounding letter written at the end of a busy 6-week lecture tour in the Midwest: "My Dear Cora Walker: - In reply to yours just received. I shall be at time and place appointed. Lecture will be 'Experiences.' Also, I shall include in these experiences, how I began to write and some of my experiences with editors. This last I have never done before, and am doing now at request of your committee. Because of this, there will not be time for a reading from 'Call of the Wild' Furthermore, I'm a poor reader anyway. Sincerely yours, Jack London." Heading: Place Published: Newton, Iowa Publisher: Date Published: Nov. 29, 1905 Condition reportPaper somewhat darkened; creased from folding; wear to folds, still clean, quite legible and near very good.
