Title: Typed, Signed Letter from Jack London to an Admirer.
Author: London, Jack Description: Single sheet bond paper, 11 lines, typed, on recto only. 6x7½. Signed in ink at conclusion of letter by Jack London.Letter to an autograph-seeking admirer, originally accompanying a photograph (not present). "Dear Mr. William Rich: - My secretary, at home on the ranch, has sent me your good letter and copy of his acknowledgment of the same----both of which have found me down here in the Hawaiian Islands. Therefore this delay in replying. Instead of sending you a mere piece of paper to paste in your copy of THE ROAD, I have written on the enclosed photograph---a photograph that was taken about the time that I wrote THE ROAD. I hope this will serve your purpose. It is one of my own favorite pictures of myself, by the way. With much appreciation of your good words about my books, and wishing you all the luck in the world. Sincerely yours, Jack London."
