Description: Group of 3 items: 2-page typed contract, about 26 lines per page, dated July 17th, 1906 and headed "Memorandum of Agreement " between Jack London and his English publisher Hodder & Stoughton. Boldly signed and dated July 17, 1906 at bottom of second page by Jack London and with his initials in the margin of the first paragraph on the first page. Together with publisher's stationary envelope. * Attached is a single page autograph letter of 14 lines, dated July 5th, 1906, from Century Company to Hodder & Stoughton approving their request for "electros of the cuts illustrating 'The Cruise of the Dazzler.'" Signed "The Century Co." with illegible initials below. * Single page typed carbon copy in 10 lines, dated April 23rd, 1915. Headed "'Cruise of the Dazzler' 6/- Jack London." Content concerns accounting for bound copies and unbound sheets of the title.Unique original publication contract signed by Jack London, with other documents relating to the first United Kingdom edition of London's rarest work of fiction and only "juvenile" title. "Cruise of the Dazzler" was originally published in a single issue of the "St. Nicholas" magazine in July, 1902.
