Goodwin and Charles Livingston Bull with 11 color plates, including frontispiece with tissue-guard, 5 color illustrations in the text, page decorations by Charles E. Hooper, pictorial endpapers. Original decorative vertically ribbed green cloth, lettered in gilt, spine and front cover pictorially blocked in black, white, and red, top edge gilt. Eighth Printing, Published September, 1904.Nicely inscribed by the author on the verso of the front free endpaper: "Here's to the man on the trail! May his grub hold out, may his dogs keep their legs, may his matches never miss fire. Jack London. Glen Ellen, California, August 23, 1905."

Condition report

Bump to bottom right corner of front cover; minor rubbing to edges; faint wear to spine ends, else a fine copy with almost no loss to the "snow" of the cover design.
