First Edition, First Issue.Inscribed and signed by Jack London shortly after publication on front free endpaper: "Dear Janet & Frank: With Christmas greetings and much love from 'Jack & Charmian,' Jack London. Oakland, Calif., Christmas, 1906." Continuing on pastedown: "And Christmas a year ago we were with you! And next Christmas?" Inscribees unknown, but Christmas, 1905, the Londons spent in Boston before leaving December 27 on their Jamaica honeymoon. A scarce title, especially so inscribed. Only 920 copies printed.
