Author: London, Jack Description: 7½x5, blue cloth with blank spine, front cover lettered in gilt, and cover illustration in dark blue, orange, and white, top edge gilt. Text contains only the title page and first chapter repeating 21 times. Frontispiece in first section and inserted randomly in 3 other locations.Very rare, probably unique and unrecorded publisher's dummy. Title page text the same as the published edition, but copyright notice does not include Macmillan Co. Cover illustration is the same as the published edition, but spine blank, and lettering blocked in gilt, instead of white. Blue pencil note on front free endpaper "Ready Nov. 9 / 1.50 / Illus."
