Federal period American Sheraton table or stand. c. 1820-1840. Southern. Flame Maple, Curly Maple, and Maple are the primary woods. Secondary woods are Poplar. Original finish (warm & mellowed). Early dovetails. Graduated front. Interesting, well executed Curly Maple accents. Possibly replaced knobs. 2 Board top - Glazed Flame Maple. Structurally very well constructed and ''tight''. Exhibits wear, character marks, imperfections and the occasional minor repair that is consistent with old antique furniture. Overall, it is an outstanding piece of vintage, early Americana. Surely, a high style country piece by a quality cabinet maker. Dimensions are: Height - 30'', Width - 22'', Depth - 23 1/2''.
