Signed Hawkes on the glass with acid etched mark on the cut glass bowl and signed Hawkes Sterling under the foot. The sterling base bears the monogram initials of 'G' and 'M' flanking the letter "K" for Martha Greta Kempton. Greta Kempton served as White House artist during the Truman administration and later donated items from her estate to the Harry S. Truman Library Institute for whom this piece is being sold. During her tenure, she painted the portraits of both Harry and Bess Truman. $15 shipping, plus $1.10 per hundred insurace, will combine multiple items.
