Late Sheraton / Classical cherry chest attributed to Tennessee with spiral twist pilasters, large top drawer overhanging three smaller drawers, triple flattened-ball turned feet, paneled sides. Poplar secondary wood. Condition: older refinish with darkening in some areas that may be the result of smoke damage, scattered minor patches and scratches, replaced pulls. 45 3/4" height x 44 1/4" x 23 1/2". Probably Tennessee, circa 1840. Provenance: Thompson family of Glen Leven Plantation, Nashville.
