Middle TN low post bed

Tennessee walnut low-post rope bed. Ball turned finials over ring and vasiform turned posts, joined by two turned posts forming the head and footboards. Original walnut rails. No ropes. Condition: older surface with minor cracks, chips, and scratches. Overall good condition. 43" height x 551/2 ' width x 84" length(set-up). Circa 1830. Provenance: Thompson family of Glen Leven plantation, Nashville.
