East Tennessee Sheraton chest with inlaid escutcheons, applied cockbeading, turned legs, Knox or Blount Co., TN. Drawers have wedged dovetails, a characteristic of Germanic cabinetmakers in the region. Walnut primary, secondary poplar and yellow pine. Retains the original surface. Overall very good condition. with expected wear, minor chips to top edge, contemporary knobs. 42 1/4" H x 41 1/2 W x 18 7/8" D. Circa 1825.
