Crazy Quilt, Tennessee history. Silk, velvet and satin multicolored fabrics with embroidered seams and several embroidered embellishments: star, butterfly, etc.; on red cotton backing. Fine quality stitching. Condition: some fraying at corners, scattered losses and deterioration to silk patches. 77 1/2" x 77". Circa 1880. Provenance: Thompson family of Glen Leven plantation, Nashville.
