Framed oil on board landscape of stream signed Thomas Campbell (Tennessee 1834-1914) lower left. Oil depicts wooded stream with a road or path to the left. Original gilt carved frame. Excellent condition. Frame 12-1/2" H x 17-1/2" W; unframed 13-5/8" H x 9-1/2" W. Late 19th century. Note - consignor's grandfather of this Campbell and the Campbell in lot #81 was a friend of Thomas Campbell when he lived in North Knoxville. The scene depicted could be this area.
