Wilmurt & Son gilt carved mirror, labeled frame

Monumental Wilmurt gilt carved frame with mirror. Frame is labeled " T. A. Wilmurt & Son, Mirror & Picture Frames, 54th E. 13th Street, New York." Wilmurt & Son served as the framers for several major artists including John Singer Sargent and Jasper Cropsey. Condition - old regilding, some gilt loss to outer top edge of frame, other minor losses to edges. Frame 46-1/2" H x 69-1/4" W x 4" D, mirror dimension 33 1/4"H x 56" W. Circa 1900. Note - The Metropolitan Museum of Art has at least two Wilmurt frames in their permanent collection.
