Western memorabilia grouping of three items with a history of originally belonging the western actor, Tom Mix. 1st item - Hercules bronze spurs, marked with star and patent date of 1914. Excellent condition. 5" length. 2nd item - Pair of carved cattle bandanna ties, probably S. America. Excellent condition. 3rd. item - Leather riding whip mounted on goat foot. Probably S. America. Excellent condition. 12" length. 20th century. Note - Consignor's grandfather, George G. Shaw worked as a laborer at the Dixie Portland cement plant and quickly advanced through the company, eventually becoming vice president of Southeast operations for Penn Dixie. George Shaw became friends with fellow Pennsylvania native, Tom Mix, who worked at the Dixie Portland cement plant from 1907-1908. George Shaw later became Tom Mix's supervisor.
