WADE & BURNHAM'S VIENNA BURNER ON A GLASS, BRASS AND MARBLE STAND LAMP, kerosene period, colorless pressed glass Ring Punty font with a standard No. 1 threaded brass fine line collar, stamped brass stem and marble base. The No. 1 burner is marked on the thumbwheel "WADE & BURNHAM'S / PATENT / APRIL 6 1858". This burners deflector edge has been rolled over or folded to produce a tighter fit in the horizontal raised groove of the interior of the chimney band. This example is fitted with an extremely rare early chimney with a frosted light diffusing band, 1857-1865.8 1/2" h, 3 3/4" sq base.
