WADE & BURNHAM'S VIENNA BURNER ON A GLASS, BRASS AND MARBLE STAND LAMP, kerosene period, colorless pressed glass Bull's Eye and Fleur-de-lis font fitted with a standard No. 1 threaded brass fine line collar, rolled brass stem and marble base. The burner has a standard No. 1 threaded base and is marked on the thumbwheel "WADE & BURNHAM'S / PATENT / APRIL 6 1858". Mr. Leflet has noted the deflector edge has been rolled over or folded to produce a tighter fit in the horizontal raised groove of the interior of the chimney band. This example is fitted with a rare early chimney, 1857-1865.9 1/2" h, 3 3/4" sq base.
