UNMARKED DIETZ AND COMPANY VIENNA BURNER ON A GLASS, BRASS AND MARBLE STAND LAMP, kerosene period, colorless pressed glass font with a No. 3 threaded brass fine line collar, reeded brass stem and double marble base. This unmarked Dietz and Company burner has a standard No. 3 threaded base. Incorporated into this burner is the Newman covered filler tube situated next to the wick tube. This example is fitted with a custom contemporary chimney, 1859-1865.9 1/2" h, 4 1/2" sq base.

Leflet, Jr Note:Mr. Leflet noted the Wade & Burnham's raised rib was used by Dietz after March 3, 1859, when Dietz was awarded Priority of Invention after a Patent Interference Hearing (Wade & Burnham vs. Dietz) and an Appeals Court trial verdict. Mr. Leflet discovered this burner in Australia. Condition reportUndamaged, marble base with normal roughness
