(Folio) 14¾x9½, period full blindstamped vellum over thick wooden boards, later hand-lettered leather spine label, brass clasps.Handsomely printed Polyglot Bible in twelve languages. Known as Hutter's or the Nuremberg Polyglot. Texts arranged in 6 columns across facing pages with 2 languages per column, including the Hebrew printed with Hutter's unique font of black and hollow letters. Dibdin called this book "one of the rarest items in bibliography." Darlow & Moule 1430.

Condition report

Vellum soiled and worn, spine ends pulled and chipped, front hinge repaired rear hinge cracking; small chip at bottom inside corner of engraved title page, some worming primarily in lower margin; else very good.
