Author: Dickens, Charles Description: 20 parts in 19. Illustrated with 40 plates from etchings by Hablot K. Browne ("Phiz"), including 8 "dark" plates. (8vo) 9x5½, original blue wrappers with woodcut design by Browne, housed in a custom cloth slipcase. First Edition.With the first edition points of "Rigaud" for "Blandois" on page 469, etc., "William" for "Frederick" on page 317 line 27, B2 instead of BB2 on page 371, but with Gimbel's 2nd issue point of page 573 correctly numbered. Complete with all advertisements and slips as noted in Hatton & Cleaver with the exception of: Part 1 detached from wrappers and lacking all called for advertisements; wrappers to Parts 2 and 3 blank with the exception of front cover illustrations (facsimiles?) and lacking all called for advertisements; Part 4 with Little Dorrit Advertiser at front but lacking all rear ads and slips; all other Parts complete with all ads and slips called for.
