Author: Parker, William
Description: Single sheet, 4¼x7¾.Document fragment signed by William Parker (1575-1622), English nobleman; imprisoned briefly for supporting Rebellion of Earl of Essex (1601); member of house of Lords (from 1605); Parker is reported to have warned Robert Cecil of "Gunpowder Plot." This document, in another's hand, possibly written by his brother-in-law Francis Tresham (1605), subscriber to and member of council of Virginia Company (1609).
