Impressive Collection of 91 Luxembourg Cafe Tokens and Five Medals. Housed in a three-ring binder. Most of the 91 tokens in the set are attributed by Weiller numbers and represent a pleasing assortment of locations, sizes, shapes, conditions, and metals. None of the pieces are dated, but the tokens were mostly issued within the past 50 years. Several of the tokens are quite scarce and, as such, this offering warrants close inspection by specialists. Also included are five medals: a 24-mm 1890 gymnastics medal with a loop for suspension, a 1901 50th wedding anniversary medal of Adolphe and Adelaide, silver, 37 mm, an 18-mm bronze "liberators" medalet featuring Grand Duchess Charlotte and dated 1944, a 40-mm bronze commemorating the liberation of Luxembourg by American troops, 1944, and a bronze medal featuring a mounted knight slaying a dragon to represent Luxembourg's liberation from the Nazis, also dated 1944.
