CALIFORNIA - WATERS, R.J. (photographer). Business District of San Franciso. San Francisco: RJ Waters and Co., 1906. Large silver print panoramic photograph (65 x 10 inches). An aerial view from Greary to Broadway overlooking the city prior to the devasting quake and fire of the same year. Condition: light spotting to sky areas, fading, laid down. With Treasure Island and ship's masts in the distance, the view from Geary street on the left to Broadway on the right, clearly depicts the business signs of the Poodle Dog Restaurant, Goldberg, Bowen and Co., Newman & Levinson Dry Goods and D. Samuels Lace House among the city's most famous merchants.
