Condition: lacking rear wrapper, front wrapper detached and chipped, largest map detached and with tape repair, text block held by stiching. Provenance: Sheldon Jackson (signature to title page). Sold not subject to return. first separate editon. Not to be confused with the author of the present text, Sheldon Jackson, a noted presbyterian missionary, assigned by the Department of the Interior as General Agent of Education in Alaska. William Jackson's text is a fine account detailing the artifacts and dwellings found in Native American areas of the Southwest.
