Thompson's contribution to Jack and Jill, published by The Curtis Publishing Co. in Philadelphia, lasted 27 years, even longer than her association with the Oz Books. Besides several serials and an occasional fairy tale, poem or play, she wrote the monthly "Perky Puppet Letter" from 1961 until 1969. Mildred Boyle, one of the original illustrators of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House Books, provided the pictures for "Adventures in Sissajig."
