[Washington]: 4 March 1907. Large silver print portrait by Harris & Ewing (275 x 345 mm). Condition: mounted to board at a contemporary date, toned overall. large-format photograph inscribed as president to his physician and friend. This rare image depicts Roosevelt seated at a desk reading papers. The inscription reads: "To / Alexander Lambert / with the affectionate regard / of his friend / Theodore Roosevelt / March 4th 1907." Lambert was Roosevelt's personal physician and a member of several of his famous hunting expeditions.
