Condition: front hinge cracked; spine lightly faded with light wear to tips. Provenance: Theodore Roosevelt (bookplate and inscription). inscribed copy of the first french edition, from roosevelt's own library. Inscription reads: "To Dear Madmoiselle Drolet, with the regards of her friend Theodore Roosevelt, Feb. 8th 1911, As a reminder of Archie and Quentin and all of us!"
