Written to Mr. Oric Bates of the Peabody Museum of Harvard University congratulating him on his book, Roosevelt goes on to congratulate Bates for going to Egypt, writing: "If Mr. Wilson had been able to rise above the cheapest kind of party politics, I would be over myself."
