London: Published by F. Westley, 1824. 4to (221 x 140 mm). Modern boards with paper spine label. Condition: very little spotting, light chipping to untrimmed edge. first edition. Includes documentary evidence omitted from parliamentary debates in the case against Rev. Smith, who had refused to join the militia instructed to put down a slave revolt in British Guiana where he was a missionary. Smith was subsequently put to death for supposedly promoting the insurrection. Sabin 82905.
