Richmond: J. W. Randolph, 1855. 8vo. Armorial frontispiece and 14 lithographic plates. Contemporary half brown morocco over marbled boards, spine lettered in gilt with 5 raised bands. Condition: upper hinge cracked; boards and spine rubbed. first american edition. First published in London in 1705. "After John Smith, the first account of this colony, the first one penned by a native and the best contemporary record of its aboriginal tribes and of the life of its early settlers" (Howes). Sabin 5114; Howes B410.
