Condition: some browning and soiling, small stain in Indian Ocean east of Arabia. an attractive map with marginal portrait medallions of nine famous explorers including columbus, magellan, la salle, and vespucci. Although the map itself lacks detail, major rivers and lakes are shown as well as the largest cities. The map names European territorial claims in the Western Hemisphere, and California is drawn as a large island; in the Eastern Hemisphere a coastal outline shows Australia joined to New Guinea.*** .
