Condition: some marginal browning and spotting on maps; cover only, some fading with occasional tears and chipping, diagonal crease, split at fold, loss to lower right-hand corner. rare atlas containing five battle maps that together track the troop movements of French general Antoine Eugène Alfred Chanzy (1823-1883) and his German opponents from November 1870 to February 1871 during the Franco-Prussian War. The maps, organized in rough chronological order from Cartes I to V, plot battle lines and show the French and German units relative to one another.
